Day & Night Blinds
Alternating sheer and solid bands, tuned by hand for the exact hour and the exact amount of the Helderberg you want in the room.
One blind, two moods
Day & night blinds run alternating sheer and solid horizontal bands on a continuous loop. Align the bands and light filters through the sheer sections while the fairway or mountain stays visible; offset them and the solid bands overlap for near-complete coverage. It's a single fabric run doing the job of two separate blinds, adjusted hour by hour rather than raised or lowered.
For a lounge or dining room facing the course, that means you can hold the view during the day and close it off for an evening braai without touching a second control.
02Where it earns its keep
Living areas, studies and dining rooms are the classic fit — anywhere the brief is "soften the light, don't kill it." It also suits street-facing windows in Erinvale's smaller cluster and duet units, where the neighbouring unit's sightline matters as much as the sun does.
03The honest limit
Even fully offset, a day & night blind isn't true blockout — light still seeps at the band edges, which matters in a bedroom that needs to go properly dark. For that, we'd pair it with a blockout roller or point you toward one instead. The sheer bands are also more delicate than a solid fabric, so we don't recommend them within reach of small hands or claws.
- Standard roller hardware — chain, spring or motorised, cassette optional
- Fabric range from light-filtering to semi-blockout bands
- Inside or outside mount, made to measure per window
Not for wet rooms
Moisture-sensitive fabric rules day & night blinds out for steamy en-suites — aluminium venetians handle that environment far better.
Living areas facing the fairway, and street-facing units across the Helderberg belt, are where these earn their keep most often.
